The Carp Lake The Coarse Lake.
Carp Lake Coarse Lake
How about having a day fishing on one of the two well stocked lakes.

On the Carp Lake catch Tench br/eam and Carp and enjoy the peace of your surroundings. There is an assortment of wildlife to watch for - look out for the flash of blue as the kingfisher passes. Early morning anglers may see deer or the fox along the banks and the usual array of water fowl.

The smaller lake has been well stocked with Roach, Rudd, Tench, br/eam and Crucian Carp. These fish are smaller but an equally enjoyable days fishing can be had here. The ever present wild life is there for all to see.

although initially man-made, care has been taken to make the lakes look both natural & attractive with the surrounding area having been planted with trees & shrubs.
The lakes have islands which also help attract a diverse range of wildlife.

Burtree House is on the Hackforth Road out of Crakehall, about 200 yards past the Village Hall.
